Permits

If you are travelling on carnet, you are required to fulfill the requirements set out under the import section and obtain third party personal insurance as set out in the licensing section.

If you have imported your vehicle you are required fulfill the requirements set out under the import section and have the vehicle licensed as set out in the licensing section.

If your vehicle is not registered in Australia you are required to travel on a Western Australian Permit in Western Australia. This is particularly relevant if you have your vehicle on an interstate club permit system, as there is no mutual permit recognition in Western Australia.

If your vehicle is fully registered in Australia, there is no additional requirement.
